Install is simple: just transfer your OEM wastegate and VGT module (three screws) to your new RS1 turbo. We intentionally leave these off during shipping to avoid damage and ensure you retain your proven components — no cheap electronics or mystery parts.

The Build Process

Every RaggDoll RS1 turbo goes through a meticulous remanufacturing process:

• Disassembled, cleaned, and fully inspected
• Machined housings for the requested upgrade
• Compressor and turbine wheels dynamically balanced separately
• Reassembled and VSR-balanced as a full unit at 250,000 RPM
• Final compressor housing is laser-etched for identity and pride

Raggdoll Motorsports set up two dyno sessions for my Porsche Turbo S. The Porsche touts a 4.0-liter built engine and head work facilitated by Sam at ByDesign. Also has the XR ByDesign turbo kit with all the supporting mods. The first session the PDK kept transitioning out of manual mode. During the second session a boost leak at the throttle body boot ended the session early. We managed 812 hp on a Mustang dyno at only 20 psi of boost.
