I name all my cars. My ’95 turbo MR2 was called Chase because he’d chase down all the AWD Talons and Eclipses at the street races, blowing by them just before the ¼-mile mark. He was undefeated with only 460 wheel but he was light, and I never missed a shift. 💅🏎️💨
Farrah didn’t come as easy as some of the others. My ’06 Cayenne Turbo S was Max like Mad Max. He was straight-piped no cats, tuned, blacked out, I’d put oversized off road tires on him when on our property in the mountains. He just looked mean, in his street or off road look… like something from the movie. I had a Sonic Blue Fiesta ST for a short time, super fun little car I put Mario plushies all over inside and called him Mario kart! 💃🏻🥰
Our 3000GT VR4 had 680 AWD on a Mustang dyno and ran with turbo Hayabusas. Her name was Sam short for Samantha because she was beautiful, sassy, and fast as hell. People would nearly come to a dead stop in the middle street intersections intersections just to stare I’m not even kidding.
It was almost weird. No, it was weird. People are pulling off the street just to look at her when she was parked at the gas. There is many times she would be amongst a few gallardo’s or 360’s only to be the center of attention. But deep down she was a predator, she looked like something that would stalk you and hunt you and take you out before you even knew she was there so that’s what went on her license plate… “predator”It was almost weird. But Farrah… she was different. She was brand new, straight off the showroom floor. We hadn’t done a thing to her yet, but she already had a strong personality of her own. She was cute, elegant, had the curves, and honestly she looked a little like a supercar. In 2018 people would some times ask is that a 918? “Wait… nvm… what kind of Porsche is that? 🤣 Between the black wheels, the GTS blackout package, and that color Vince and I hunted for months to find, I could see what they saw. When they were brand new to the streets some may disagree, but she definitely had a resemblance to the 918.
But the story goes like this.. one day when I had just gotten my hair done. And my hair is always different. I got out of the car, and Vince walked up, took a picture and said, “Damn, Farrah, you’re looking hot today.” I was like Farrah? Ya! You got that Farrah faucet hair going today. 🙈🤣 Then he was like that’s her name. Let’s call her Farrah. For Farrah Fawcett.”
